Football season is back baby! That means tailgates, Sunday cookouts, and probably some alcohol. Here are 3 tips to help you stay on track with your fitness this NFL season.
Prioritize Protein!
There are tons of carb heavy foods associated with football, so one thing you can do is to prioritize protein rich foods. Skip the mac and cheese and fill your plate with some chicken breast.
Limit Alcohol Consumption!
One thing I like to do is to limit myself to 2 alcoholic beverages a week. I also Try to drink more water when I do drink to help quench that thirst. If alcohol isn’t your weakness but reaching for a sugary drink is, then the same rule applies.
Move More!
Instead of plopping yourself down in front of the TV all Sunday try to get up and move around as much as possible. During commercial breaks do some chores around the house. In between games you can go for a short walk in your neighborhood. The biggest thing is to try and avoid sitting down ALL day.
